I just finished watching a interview that John MacArthur did on Larry King and the last minute of it really stirred me up. John stated (referring to Christ's second coming:
"You want to know why he hasn't come back? It's not because he is slow in his promise, it's because he longsuffering, waiting for sinners to repent".
This is 100% true and has filled me with encouragement and delight in knowing that Jesus truly loves me and is patient with saving my friends and family that I'm praying for.
"But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." 2 Peter 3: 8-9
